PowerPortLA and THERACK® continues to support the calisthenics community. On April 17, Men and Women will compete in the Around the World event at Caton Park Parade Grounds - Coney Island Avenue / Church Ave , Brooklyn, NY. NCA will be putting on the LOCKOUT LEAGUE event. NCA is also responsible, along with Brooklyn Parks and Recreation, for putting on the Brooklyn Beach Sports Festival on the last 4 yrs(excluding 2020 due to Covid).
At the BBSF, there is also a Freestyle and weighted reps competition. In 2018 the BBSF event and the community was featured in a nice piece on the FOX5NY channel and 2019 featured on the local NY news. It's a great outdoor event held at Coney Island. These events really do inspire athletes and spectators to maintain a healthy lifestyle. It's amazing community! We're honored to be a small part of it.
